About Freight Shipments:

Freight is the best option in terms of cost & reliability when it comes to placing especially large (pallet-sized) orders. Most of our outgoing LTL shipments include some combination of substrates, wood decor, terrariums, and other bulky items which are just too costly or risky to ship FedEx/USPS. The cost of LTL ("Less Than Truckload") shipping can vary wildly based on weight & transit distances, but clients can expect a quote somewhere in the $190-$400+ range. (Shipping to a registered commercial address always costs less!) With that in mind, we only recommend this service for larger orders ($700+), since LTL freight won't be cost effective for smaller purchases. Order Minimums:
Volume discounts may be available for bulk sized purchases of NEHERP-branded products depending on market availability and other factors. All bulk purchases (minimums described below) will be too large to ship using standard FedEx/USPS service, and usually cost less to ship via freight/LTL transit. To ensure the cost of freight shipping can be offset, we recommend a minimum order of $700. For folks looking to place an order for less than a pallet of product, our Kit Prices combined with Instant Rewards will be the best deal we can offer. If you'd like to get a quote on a pallet quantity of products, please review the discount thresholds below and use the form on this page to get a volume order started! Please keep in mind we're happy to combine-ship non-bulk products on palleted orders, excluding perishable items.

Shipping Bulky Items:

Freight may be the best option when it comes to shipping large orders which contain especially large items like Terrariums, 36in+ Wood Decor, Long Light Fixtures, and more.

Freight-Shipping XXL Items
Freight shipping is available for orders containing especially large items which would be cost-ineffective to ship using a typical carrier. Examples include orders with multiple XXL pieces of Ghostwood, 50+lbs of cork, 50+ gallons of substrate, or multiple 48in long light fixtures. Orders containing a terrarium along with any combination of bulky products are another great example. To ensure the freight cost can be offset, we recommend this service for orders over $700 only.

Shipping Terrariums
Due to the risks & rising expenses associated with shipping glass enclosures, all larger sizes are available for either freight shipping or pickup only at our Central Connecticut location. We no longer ship any glass enclosures larger than 1 cubic foot. Pallet & forklift service is available to all volume orders, and for anyone purchasing an especially large enclosure. We do our best to be as competitive as possible when it comes to special orders, and the turn-around is typically within 5-6 business days. For folks looking for less than a pallet's worth of enclosures, we recommend supporting a local pet shop in your area. To offset the cost of freight shipping, we recommend a minimum order of around $700. We'll ship orders for lower values on request, but $700 seems to be the amount where it's actually cheaper (per terrarium) to use Freight!
