Before we get into the details, we want to mention that we are not the owners of Sunblaster^tm, but the inventor is a friend of ours. Beyond that, we've got no official connection to the brand. Like our "not-paid-affiliate" disclosure states, we like what performs, recommend what we like, and carry what we recommend. Our lineup is totally based around that principle, and Sunblaster is no different. The information you'll read here is as unbiased as it can be. The fact is, Sunblaster is actually our least profitable LED option! We like it because it's a super-reliable option which out-performs the competition.

Why We ~~Like~~ Love Sunblaster LEDs
Sunblaster was the first vivarium specialty LED product in the United States. It was designed by a lighting pro up in Maine, and we've been carrying the brand since we caught wind of it back in 2012. The output is the best in the industry for the LED's size, with the 13W models rated for 960LM and ~49µMol/M²S PAR / 4266Lx @ 12in for every 7.5in long bulb. (Our PAR measurement might be a bit conservative!) If you'll be using two, three, or four bulbs, the lumen output would double, triple, or quadruple and the PAR data would increase (although not as much) too. They are the most reliable horizontal LEDs we've tested, come in perfect size increments, and are simply the best horizontal LEDs for bioactive live vivariums. Ask around. Most people who've used Sunblaster stick with it. At NEHERP, we've built more Sunblaster powered vivariums than any other brand. We're fans of the mixed color spectrum, which produces a slightly warmer hue of light than most LEDs on the market.

NEHERP Staff Description:
We've been using Sunblaster brand LEDs in our grow rooms since late 2017, and they've proven to be bulletproof reliable in our real-world tests. (0% failure rate!) The newer model available here produced 37% more PAR output (147µMol/M²S @ 12in PPFD*) in our 2023 tests. These are the highest output linear LEDs we've ever tested or carried for this price. The ideal 6400K color temperature (pure white) helps to accurately represent natural colors within bioactive terrariums. Beyond great output & aesthetics, these LEDs also feature a reasonably low operating temperature and can be daisy-chained together with either more Sunblaster LEDs or our T5HO UVB Combo fixtures. About The NEHERP-Exclusive LED Stands:
**AVAILABLE IN-CART AFTER ADDING A SUNBLASTER LED**
Sunblaster LEDs have always been high on our list of recommended lights, but needing to hang them from something above was always a drawback when it came to terrarium use. To help overcome that issue, we developed nifty adjustable LED stands which make installation super easy. Simply select the angle of illumination you'd like (0°, 15°, 30°) based on the specifics of your particular enclosure's design, and place the LED toward the front of the enclosure for best results. Once installed, the stand will elevate the LED slightly for improved airflow & increased heat dissipation, and allow for the perfect angle of illumination. Please note: These are rough prototype LED stands in Q2 2023, which will be further refined by Q3. NEHERP LED Stands are produced in Connecticut from food-safe, heat-resistant material. Other Information:

• Sunblaster LEDs and our T5HO + UVB Combo share a compatible power connector, and can be daisy-chained together!
• Sunblaster LEDs can easily be automated using a smart switch or outlet timer. (No remotes, apps, or other frequent failure-points)
• Sunblaster LEDs cannot be dimmed. Do not connect them to a dimmer switch, as damage to the LED driver may result.
• Not rated for water-contact. Please don't mount inside of any enclosure, or where these LEDs may come into contact with water.
• NEHERP Terrarium Stands are not affiliated with or endorsed by Sunblaster Horticultural Products, and were developed independently.
